Support Scientist
Support various fields of research from concept, proposal development, design, and planning to in-situ data acquisition, analysis, modeling, and result publication. Validate research ideas and results by performing literature reviews and contribute to proposals and publications. Utilize software to analyze data, develop graphical displays, and visualize instrument measurements and scientific results. Examine, analyze, and report on the scientific impact of temporal and spatial variations in instrument performance Conceive, implement, and test research code to derive, model, and validate spectral, spatial, and radiometric performance, temporal and spatial processes, and physical parameters and phenomena Support data archiving for subsequent research endeavors by documenting methodologies and measurement protocols. Support quick-look and near real-time data viewing and analyses to enhance field data measurement efforts. Prepare, review, and/or present portions of study results for presentations, posters, refereed journals, and WWW-sites.
